Music has been a part of Erie DJ John Gallagher's life since he was a teenager. While in middle school, John volunteered at a radio station for Erie's visually handicapped, helping the community while learning the basics of the radio
business. After graduation from McDowell High School in Erie, John Gallagher traveled to other areas of Pennsylvania, New York and West Virginia spending time at Top 40, Country and other radio stations gaining popularity among listeners everywhere
he went. In 1983, John returned to Erie PA working at several local stations. In 1992, as Program Director of Music Of Your Life formatted WEYZ, the station was a top 5 finalist for a Marconi Award, which is a VERY prestigious honor in the radio
business!
